Kevin Shinick is an Emmy Award-winning writer as well as an actor, director and multiple Annie Award-winning producer. Best known for his work on Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken and for creating and voicing the animated series MAD on Cartoon Network, Shinick has earned a veritable pop culture pedigree by also working alongside George Lucas (Star Wars: Detours), directing Stan Lee (Marvel’s Spider-Man), collaborating with the rock band KISS (Scooby-Doo and Kiss: Rock and Roll Mystery) and helping Mike Tyson solve some mysteries (The Mike Tyson Mysteries).

 

george and IA fan-favorite among comic book readers, Shinick has written for both Marvel Comics and DC Comics. His recent work with Spider-Man has made him the only person to achieve a Spi-fecta: Writing Spider-Man for the comics (Avenging Spider-Man), the stage (Spider-Man Live! at Radio City Music Hall) and the screen (Marvel’s Spider-Man on DisneyXD.)  Fans of Marvel’s animated universe will recognize Shinick as the voice of Bruce Banner, The Incredible Hulk’s brainy alter ego on Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars as well as voices on Comedy Central’s Trip Tank, Fox’s The Cleveland Show, Cartoon Network’s Justice League Action, Crackle’s SuperMansion, Comedy Central’s Ugly Americans and NBC’s Elf: Buddy’s Musical Christmas.

As an actor, Shinick has performed in over half a dozen Broadway plays and in numerous films and TV shows, including his role as the host and “Squadron Leader” of the PBS’ series, Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego? – a popular 90s sci-fi quiz show that landed him in the pages of Teen magazines, onto trading cards and into his own action figure.Carmen Sandiego1Shinick is currently a writer on the Netflix comedy Disjointed, starring Kathy Bates as the owner of a pot dispensary.
